Potrocker is a doomy drug-fueled black metal one-man band, inspired by early 2000s Darkthrone songs that in turn had early Celtic Frost/Hellhammer influences.
Potrocker started on December 23, 2003, when Danny wrote the weed fueled lyrics for an otherwise yet non-existent song, with some lines dating back to October 2003. Up from March 2004 and throughout spring and summer riffs and lyrics were written for four more songs. Early September and early October 2004 the drums and guitars got recorded, with recordings for a sixth song following in April and May 2005. A month later the debut album by Toner Low (for which Danny plays the guitar) got released and Potrocker was put aside for many years.
September 16, 2018, the project was resurrected. Four of the six 2004-2005 songs were digitalized and bass guitar and vocals were added. The 29 minute Stoned Elite Underground was released through Bandcamp on March 16, 2019. From August 2021 new hashish-themed songs were written, with recordings starting in October. The 32 minute Hashishatan came out February 26, 2022. It got quite some promotion and was posted on YouTube channels Rock Freaks (Germany), One Man Bands (Brazil) and Black Metal Artists (Tunisia), and a song appeared on a Bandcamp compilation by Owlripper Recordings (Czech Republic).
